One scan.
An answer for everyone at your table.
ChowVivo reads an ingredient label once and answers for each person in your house: the seven-year-old with the peanut allergy, the baby starting solids, grandma’s sodium, even the dog.
ChowVivo is in private beta. Leave your email and we’ll send your invite, plus occasional updates as the beta grows. We never sell your data.

One bag of trail mix. Four honest answers.
Every other nutrition app answers for one generic adult. But your household isn’t just one generic adult.
Everyone in your household gets their own profile, all under the same monthly payment, and everyone can contribute to one shared pantry.
Set each person’s allergens once: all fourteen major ones, plus dietary rules like halal or gluten-free. Every scan names the exact ingredient, not just “allergen detected.”
Babies and toddlers get age-aware answers: added sugar, sodium, honey before one, choking textures. The same meal reads differently for an 8-month-old than for you.
Sodium, added sugar, and portion guidance tuned for seniors.
Scan human food and ChowVivo flags what’s toxic to pets (xylitol, raisins, onion, chocolate) before it ends up in the bowl under the table.
Dinner from what you already own.
Scan your groceries straight into a shared pantry. When you’re out of ideas, ask in plain words and get meals built only from what’s on your shelves, screened for your family first.
Groceries go in the pantry as you put them away.
“We want something savory tonight”
Meal ideas that use what you have, skip what anyone’s allergic to, and say when to set the baby’s portion aside.
Less tossed food, fewer 5 pm panics, and one dinner that works for the whole table instead of three separate ones.
The AI listens. The database answers.
Tell ChowVivo “two eggs and buttered toast” and AI figures out what you meant. But it never invents a number. Every figure is looked up: from 13,500 foods in the USDA’s research database, and 440,000 packaged products with manufacturer label data.
When a source doesn’t report a number (say, added sugar on an older label), ChowVivo shows a dash, not a zero. We’d rather tell you we don’t know than make something up. In a market full of apps where a language model estimates your calories, ours are auditable back to a label.
The learning system doesn’t know who you are.
ChowVivo gets smarter as people use it, giving better food matches and default answers. That learning system was built with no user identifiers at all: it learns that “eggs” usually means cooked chicken eggs, not who asked.
Your family’s profiles (allergies, ages, weights) stay in your account, shown only to your household, with per-person controls over what’s visible. And because there’s no advertising, there’s no one to sell your attention to.
Safety isn’t the upsell.
Allergen alerts for the whole household sit in the cheapest paid tier on purpose. Annual plans save about 20%. No advertising at any tier, including free.
Woman-owned. Bootstrapped. Nobody to answer to but you.
“Most of our takeout nights started the same way: standing in front of a full pantry at 5:30, too tired to think of a single thing to make. There was always dinner in there, I just couldn’t see it. So we built an app that remembers what we bought, turns it into something we can actually make tonight, and knows what’s right for everyone eating it: what the baby isn’t ready for yet, what the grown-ups should watch, and what’s safe to slip to our two little dogs.”
ChowVivo is built by a family and funded by nobody. No investors pushing ads, no data brokers, no growth team. Just an app that answers the question we kept asking at our own kitchen table.
